CLASS STYLES AT YOGA LYFE
Flow –– Level 2-3
A Vinyasa Flow is a medium to high intensity class. For those with some yoga experience through to intermediate students.
You’ll flow continuously through strong sequences of traditional postures, linking breath with movement to generate greater flexibility and build muscular strength and agility. Flow offers a stronger practice, with a variety of poses and provides an opportunity to advance your practice through arm balances, inversions and backbends.
An uplifting class that will raise your heart rate, energise your body, calm your mind and nourish your soul.
Gentle YOGA — Level 1-2
Our gentle yoga classes are designed for students that are new to yoga, students who are returning to their yoga practice, or those who prefer a gentler practise with additional focus on alignment, core and posture
Join a safe and supportive environment where students will be guided through the physical shapes and principles of yoga. This style is a slow paced class, including gentle standing and balance work so we can immerse everyone to the foundations and fundamentals of the practice.
Recommended for all, suitable for new students.
HATHA YOGA –– Level 1-2
A slower paced class where you will hold poses longer than a typical flow class, fostering a profound connection between breath and movement.
Hatha Yoga is a practice of balance, both physically and spiritually. Through mindful breathing techniques interwoven with yoga poses, you'll release tension and realign your equilibrium, fostering inner space and inviting opportunities for spiritual growth.
Whether you're a beginner or seasoned practitioner, all levels are warmly welcomed to join this nurturing practice.
Mat Pilates –– Level 1-3
Pilates has long been associated with recovery from injuries and overall improved wellness. Our Pilates classes focus on movement with breath, with dynamic techniques stabilising the core, improving posture and strengthening the whole body.
Guided by our exceptional team who use a variety of props to amplify your results, including Pilates circle, weighted tone balls, resistance bands, and cork massage balls for our Tigger Ball class.
Therapeutic for all levels.
MEDITATION –– Level 1
Explore mindfulness practices in a safe and encouraging environment. Dedicate time to deeper self-enquiry, uncovering the transformative potential of meditation for enhancing focus, reducing stress, and fostering inner calm.
All are welcomed to join our supportive community.
Slow Flow –– Level 1-3
Slow Flow is a low to medium intensity class with optional modifications. Suitable to all students.
You will move slowly through transitions and poses, with a focus on finding ease in your body and mind, like a moving meditation – it may be slower, but expect to still build strength and resilience physically, and find self compassion and deeper connection emotionally.
A slower paced mindful practice to regulate your nervous system and cultivate ease.
Yin Yoga –– Level 1-2
Yin Yoga is a slow paced class suitable for all levels, including beginners.
Yin Yoga stretches the connective tissues of the body, increasing circulation and improving flexibility. In a quiet atmosphere poses are held for 3-5 minutes, allowing target areas to soften and release. Props are often used to support therapeutic shapes.
A great balance for regular flow practitioners, helpful for cyclists, runners, walkers and nurtures better rest for all of us.
Yoga NIDRA –– Level 1
Often translated as sleep with awareness or yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra uses various techniques to allow deep relaxation of mind and body.
Yoga Nidra is a very healing practice that is often done in a comfortable supine position, inviting us to surrender from the outer world to inner world, from doing to being.
Highly recommended for everyone.
