THE SKILL OF CHILL

with EOIN FINN I FRIDAY 14 FEBRUARY, 6:30–8:30 pm

Gain insights into the mechanisms of the body that lead to the experience of energy and the sublime. We will explore the link between breathing physiology and emotional regulation, drawing from the new Yoga Optimized book.

We’ll learn the Blissology 3D Breath technique from Yoga Optimized, using the primary and accessory muscles of respiration to create more internal calm and shift our nervous systems. As we do so, we realise that yoga is a process of subtraction, not addition. We reawaken the universal love and insight we were always meant to feel.

After an insightful lecture, enjoy a slow-flow yoga practice that is nothing short of paradigm-shifting. Chill is a skill, and this workshop will enhance your ability to find more calm on the mat, the meditation cushion, and in your life.

Cost: $70 by 1 Feb, $90 after

Bio: Eoin Finn is a globally renowned yogi, surfer, and founder of Blissology. Since 1989, he has been carving his original tracks through the metaphysical worlds of yoga, philosophy, physiology, and movement. Eoin’s ability to blend soulful science with yogic wisdom is legendary, and his new book, Yoga Optimized, is a testament. While rooted deeply in yoga’s therapeutic and transformative lineage, his down-to-earth, modern spiritual insights refresh like cool water.

Eion firmly believes that to find bliss, you must “seek quiet solitude in nature.” Eoin studied philosophy at Dalhousie University, anatomy and physiology at Harvard Medical School, and is currently enrolled in exercise physiology at the University of California, Berkeley. He lives on Canada’s west coast and is always searching for the perfect wave.

OPEN HEART, OPEN HIPS

with EOIN FINN I SATURDAY 15 FEBRUARY, 12:00 PM – 3:00 pm

Hip-openers are arguably the most popular category of yoga poses. The goal of this workshop is to give you both cerebral knowledge and the mind-body awareness to precisely and safely create the pose that is right for your body, rather than settling for one-size-fits-all generic cues.

The first part of the workshop will be presentation-style combining biomechanics and experiential anatomy. Then we will put these principles in place in a fluid-vinyasa flow practice so you can feel the joy of these principles in your asanas.

Expect to learn unique Blissology principles from Eoin‘s new book, Yoga Optimized such as DUO, Dynamic Unifying Opposition. You will leave this workshop with a whole new toolkit to balance the tension and compression in our hip joints and spine to make our bodies function optimally now and well into old age. Of course, when we feel good, we spread good. Come explore the gifts of this modern approach to the ancient practice we all love.

Cost: $99 by 1 Feb, $135 after
